The Mending Point is a Bible-based and Spirit-empowered church founded in 2023 by Pastor James Roper. We are a church focused on having a relationship with Jesus Christ more than a religious experience. Our church is a place where everyone is welcome no matter where you may be in your faith journey. When you become a part of The Mending Point, you become a part of our family. A family that loves, offers compassion, has understanding, and will help you grow in your faith in Jesus Christ.

Mission

 To be a place where the broken come to mend through worshiping God, becoming disciples of Jesus Christ, growing in faith, and serving those around us. Psalms 147:3

Vision

To minister to the broken, rejected, and outcast in the same manner Jesus did, through love, compassion, and understanding, while developing individual growth through Jesus Christ. Psalms 34:17-20, John 13:34

What We Believe...

We believe the Bible is God’s Word. It is accurate, authoritative, unchanging, and applies to our everyday lives. 2 Timothy 3:16

We believe in one eternal God who is the Creator of all things. He exists in three Persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Ghost. Genesis 1:1; John 1:1; John 4:24; 1 Corinthians 12:4-6

We believe that sin has separated each of us from God and His purpose for our lives making us lost and without hope apart from Jesus Christ. Isaiah 59:2; John 14:6; Romans 6:23

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ as both God and man is the only One who can reconcile us to God. He was born of a virgin, died on the cross for our sins, and rose again on the third day to prove His victory and to empower us for life. Luke 23:1-47; Luke 24:1-7; 1 Timothy 2:5

We believe that to receive forgiveness of sins and the new birth we must repent of our sins, believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and submit and follow His will for our lives. Salvation is only by grace through the blood of Jesus Christ. Matthew 26:28; Acts 3:19; Romans 5:8-10; Ephesians 2:8-9; 1 Peter 1:18-19; 1 John 1:7

We believe in the power and significance of the church and in regularly coming together for fellowship and prayer. Hebrews 10:25

We believe in the continued operation of the fivefold ministry and the gifts of the Holy Ghost. Ephesians 4:11; 1 Corinthians 12:7-11

We believe that God has equipped each of us so that we can successfully achieve His purpose for our lives. Philippians 2:13

We believe that our eternal destination of either Heaven or Hell is determined by our response to the Lord Jesus Christ. Matthew 24:36-42; John 8:42-47; Revelation 20:15

We believe that it is our responsibility and privilege to share the good news of The Gospel with everyone. Matthew 28:19-20
